He has been an active member of Gillingham, New Forest East, Mole Valley and
Horsham Labour Party, following his move to the town in 2007, and has been a
member of Unite since leaving school.
He has been both constituency chair and secretary since 2008 and throughout this
period he has strived to ensure that new and longstanding members receive a warm
welcome when attending meetings and campaign events.
He has a passion for social justice and believes only by electing a Labour MP both
here in Horsham and across the country, will we deliver the change our society so
David has worked in horticulture all his life and is now Technical Manager for the
UK’s leading ornamental plant producer, providing advice on plant nutrition and crop
protection. His work has enabled him to develop a keen understanding of environmental issues
including the delivery of sustainable agriculture. He describes himself as a green
As Chair he will seek to secure the best outcome for Labour in the forthcoming
General Election. He will continue to encourage more members to actively campaign
and supporters to join our party so that together we secure a Labour Government
that both Horsham and the Country is crying out for.
