Developing and implementing a Climate Action Plan
All of this will be in line with our Climate Action Plan which will set clear net zero targets and a clear path to achieving a net zero economy. We will use the truly affordable homes programme to attract green business to our town which in turn will encourage other business start-ups as they become aware of the opportunities our town offers.
Supporting existing and attracting new businesses
- We will offer training to encourage business to go green and offer marketing expertise to spread the word that Horsham is changing and is very much open for green business.
- In line with creating a Nature Town we will develop even more green spaces, vitalising our communities, attracting investment and at the same time build climate change resilience.
- We will work with local business and run campaigns to encourage residents to shop locally.
- We will encourage small start-up growers that sell locally grown produce sold through a network of farmers markets.
- We will grow the cooperative economy which places our communities at the heat of all that we do.
