Horsham Labour Labour working for you.
A by-election has been called in the highly contested seat of Denne following the resignation of the member of parliament at District Council level.
John Milne MP (Lib Dem) attended one meeting out of a possible nine before he stepped down.
The election on November 21st is unique because, regardless of the outcome, the council will remain under Liberal Democrat control.
This time, it’s simply a matter of residents choosing the best candidate.
In past Horsham elections, tactical voting has been used by all sides, but this is irrelevant now, as the Lib Dems have a large majority. Voters have the opportunity to select just one new councillor to represent the ward until 2027, and Cameron McGillivray is the local champion standing up for Denne.
Message from our local champion
Horsham Labour’s by-election candidate
“I run a start up business from Horsham and I’m self-employed. I’ve lived in Horsham all of my life and it’s where I’ll always call home.
I decided to put myself forward in this election because I’m passionate about improving our community and making sure all of our voices are heard.
I will always keep residents updated throughout my time as councillor. Informing them of any decision the council makes that may affect them.
Whether it’s improving local services, addressing your concerns, or standing up for what matters to us. If elected, I will strive to be a hard working councillor who you can rely on.
Everyday until polling day, I will be leafleting the area and knocking on doors. I would love to hear your views on the future of Horsham.
Thank you for reading and best wishes.”
