A Labour run council will set up an environmental committee to assess the environmental impact of its decisions. We will create a new senior role in the council with a focus on engaging with the public, making sure new innovative initiatives are developed and delivered across the district.
We support zero-carbon housing and would make sure all new builds include solar panels and are energy efficient.
We will invest in reliable and affordable public transport to reduce traffic in Horsham. We will provide adequate charging points to encourage electric cars.
Horsham Labour party is against the proposed waste incinerator plant to the north of Horsham. We believe this would discourage recycling and would have a detrimental impact on the environment and on our health.
