Having lived in Forest for many years, I know what a great place it is. And whilst first the pandemic and now the Conservative’s Cost of Living Crisis has been extremely challenging for so many people, it has in many ways, brought our community together. However, it has also highlighted what needs to be done to make our neighbourhood even better. We desperately need more genuinely affordable homes; greater levels of support for those living in fuel and food poverty, safer streets, with fewer traffic hazards for our children and older residents, a better maintained and cleaner environment, cared for green spaces, cleaner air and pollution free rivers. If elected, I am determined to do all I can to address these and the other issues that are raised with me. I will work hard to ensure we get the services we need. Thank you to everyone who has already signed our traffic calming petition. We will continue to push the council to implement safer streets with the implementation of 20 mph zones.
