I was born and raised in West Sussex and have lived here under a Tory led council for most of my life. I have seen first-hand how disconnected and distant it is from the people of the county; I’ve seen this through the defunding of our communities and deterioration of our services, through watching families struggle to make ends meet whilst receiving little or no support and, more personally, through finding myself homeless between the ages of 18-20 when I, like many others, was met with nothing but excuses for why it was not their concern.

I am running to change this; to give a voice to those who have been ignored and cast aside, to make the Council fit for purpose and bring it back to the people and to fight to ensure that it fulfills its obligations to all the people of West Sussex. If elected, my focus would be on climate issues, family and child support and ensuring that taxpayer money is used appropriately to provide the best quality services.
